Although blogging can be a fun and creative way to give insight to your inner thoughts to those who wish to read them. It could ultimately lead to your demise. By detailing a problem created by your mind and laying it out in black and white you leave yourself open to manipulation and other things. Realistically this may seem to be a bunch of ridiculous theories such as the Earth revolving around the sun but I’ve thought through it, and it’s kinda scary.

Language, sound, music and movement all have one thing in common. They all have a similar purpose, a purpose that can be interpreted in many ways by the audience that receives. All convey a message so that the producer can then receive what they want. Understanding. Understanding that will then result in the action or spoken sound that will convey another message that is then interpreted by another and thus a cycle of information is born. The weird thing is that all these things are symbols that have meaning to allow the interpretation. You may not realise it but what you are reading now is a page full of symbols which convey meaning. Meaning which I want to be interpreted. Secrets, stillness and silence are things that can not be interpreted.

Where I’m going with this is that symbology represents the message and meaning of our society, of our being, of our mind. So that if we type symbols all over the place, they are going to be interpreted and therefore be transferred into information that allows insight to who I am as a person. If you have that information, you can deduce my methods of thought, and possibly my next action. That has meaning, and a result. A result that can be compromised.

So over these last several months I have left no symbol, no trace, no mark. My thoughts and secrets shall remain mine under lock and key. I mean, you wouldn’t let a complete stranger into your house…would you?

So this is my overview on how I patiently waited for an album that was average for about 10 months and liked the one I found out about 2 weeks before the release date more. HUMPH.

Marketing strategy differences- Did Linkin Park talk up their new and improved album too much or did I just take too much notice. Will I like it the more I listen to it…undoubtedly. Although there is one problem, I shouldn’t have to. Asylum was great from the get go and I was like yeah sick. Sure ATS is different to “old LP” but from song to song I’m like….same, same, a bit more of the same OOOH CHESTER SCREAMING SICK, oh wait there’s soft harmony’s again at the end of what could have been a sick song. I might add a bit of bit reduction, over dub the vocal tracks a few times make it sound fat and not worry about the low-end (when I talk about low-end I mean the low-end or deep sounding frequencies/sounds). I’m being extremely sarcastic here I think these are all really good things…occasionally.

DJ Vespers has a clip called glitch up my sax. This is how I would describe A Thousand Suns, full of glitches. When I talk about glitches I mean electronic audio effects and so on to change the sounds by rhythm and sound quality. Usually this is a good thing, for one part of the song. I’m not too sure what Brad and Phoenix are doing (guitarist and bassist) they were probably just sitting back  thinking oh yeah that’s cool!! When they were playing that bird game on iPhone (you know the one where you slingshot the birds at the evil pigs and your birds like speed up or takes on characteristics of weaponry…yeah, that one).

Now having said all this I don’t mind the album…as long as I listen to it 1 song at a time then flick on Asylum. When they said ATS is going to be different I thought it meant unpredictable…not being different by being the same. I could predict just about every music element of the album but had no idea what they were doing with some of the sounds. The same synths, structure, dynamics, tempo and more. MOST IMPORTANTLY THERE WAS NO GAP. I forget where I heard this from  but some great musician said “music is not defined by what is there, it is defined by what is not there… the silences.”

Another thing that I reckon is lacking is dynamics and that unpredictability. I don’t want to know the album before I even listen to it, but that is what has happened. No major dynamic changes to blow your mind with. Sure the album is cohesive but so are the school Principal’s speeches…mainly because they don’t change at all (not targeting any principal in particular, I just reckon it’s a universal fact that most of the sleep children receive is during a half an hour-long epilogue of how great our school is). So ATS is really a nice long speech done by a Principal wearing a darth vader helmet. It sounds different sure but it really doesn’t sound different as it progresses.No one likes a one trick pony (lol I just imagined a pony with a darth vader helmet on…how cool would that be).

So my overall opinion is just because it sounds different at first it doesn’t make something different it just means you decided to wear a blue shirt instead of your usual black. You’re still the same person. Quite boring really. So even though most of the sounds in Asylum are the same, it’s still different mainly due to the configuration of the songs and the wow factor created by edginess, by breaking the rules and so on. Rules are meant to be broken, so why not do it.

I will continue to analyse ATS and adjust my opinion to suit. Disturbed and Linkin Park both combined for just over 10 years. 4 or 5  main release albums each. It was supposed to be more than any ordinary album… it turns out to be more than that…it’s and ending.

We just changed our name to Metamorphosis. You’ll find most of our stuff on a website called Soundcloud. As my name suggests I also have my own Soundcloud site under the name Yoshimitsu0408. We like to share equal rights to these songs so we will tell you who did most of the work as we like recognition for our good work.

I should mention prior to this blog post I was watching Two and a Half Men which is awesome…I lost it at Hey Hey it’s Saturday and the crazy big bird that keeps reappearing in my nightmar- never mind. That’s a different story.

Have you ever had that feeling where you’re sitting there thinking this is nice, but I have homework due the next day and you just DUN FEEL LIKE IT. Well, this is one of those moments for me. Math first up next day…more alegebra. Why they complained in the medieval age I have no idea. I mean if you look at it like this getting your head chopped off isn’t THAT bad. They should be thankful they don’t have to get up at 6 to go to MATH.

Ok what other homework do I have (looks for diary) looks like I have physics and SOSE. Physics is good, mentally fries your brain out but at least every example of physics includes some kind of car which I can then further their point talking about ABS, STM and tell some people why that crazy flame coming out of the exhaust is not how a car using noss speeds up.

Looks like I have SOSE. Teacher turned out a lot better than I thought to a point that I saw my dad. Not looks in any way just their manner and extensive knowledge of K dudd and those that he USED to be surrounded by. Face it cause a $42 billion deficit to Australian funds tax payers aren’t exactly going to be happy. It’s on what is Australian. Realising that we are a pretty contradictory country going through pretty big changes. I stopped thinking, too much effort.

So the thought of all this, is why I believe we don’t like doing homework, because we just do it in our heads, thinking about what we learnt in class even though we think we’re procrastinating.

It’s just too bad the teacher doesn’t see it like this…hmmm

If you actually watched the clip, yup that’s right the car actually took off, took flight and slammed into the roadside trees. Due to an aerodynamic fault in the car at high speeds outside the slip stream the car didn’t have enough downforce to stick to the road so it just, took off.

If this isn’t enough the same thing happened the next day in warm up. Twice that same thing happened. It took Mercedes Benz 10 years to return to motor sport.

Of course we can’t forget the most popular motor sport in Australia the V8 Supercars. This is a compilation of some V8 Supercar crashes. Of course we can’t forget the two deaths occurring a few years ago including Mark Porter and Peter Brock. With great respect we will miss you. Although these cars are a bit slower than the rest of the motor sport world they’re still going at an average speed of 170kp/h. That’s an average! That means for over an hour they are travelling at speeds faster than our highways. 60/70km faster.

Last but not least Formula 1. This is another compilation with an AWESOME song of the crashes in 2009. Half way through it will highlight a bolt (I forget what it actually is) flying towards F. Massa. This took him out of the sport for most of the year and almost killed him. Another stat; these cars on average go at speeds of roughly 230kp/h. This means they cover roughly 90 m per second. So when they crash it may not look big but at these speeds everything is fast.

So if this isn’t enough I don’t know what is. In formula 1 they have a pit crew of 200 people. 200!!!! They have a pre and post crew and an in race crew. They have 4 people assigned to each corner of the car. If there’s a major problem with one corner of the car and they aren’t assigned to it, they basically sit back and do nothing. These teams usually make $6 million US a year on merchandise, well the Ferrari team does anyway. V8 Supercar lap times are so pin point that the whole field of 28 cars had lap times within a second of each other. Lap times usually around a minute and a half. During an endurance race drivers lose around 5 kilos of weight because of the massive water loss from their body. This is because the minimum cabin temperature is around 35 degrees whilst the highest is about 55 degrees.

So motor sport includes serious money, serious crashes and serious accuracy. So it’s all pretty serious. The typical opinion of motor sport is the driver turns the wheel and press on the accelerator. That means you all can do it easy. Have fun taking off at speeds of roughly 250km’s and crashing, becoming a paraplegic, dying…Meh it’s fine.

Once again I do this all in great respect of those who have had their lives ruined by motor sporting crashes etc.

Ok, the main point is the people I’ve seen complain are the people who have gone through hardships, but couldn’t give a rats ass about doing anything. As well as soon as these people feel threatened or told they’re not doing anything they become extremely defensive. So they kinda dig their own grave here.

There’s one person that I’ve seen who’s not particularly favourable amongst the scheme of things, but she doesn’t sit on her ass and complain, she get’s over it. She realises that thing’s are not going to be perfect and realises that things aren’t too bad.

This notion of perfection that everyone goes for these days is beyond stupid. Computers are designed to complete tasks at a perfectionist level. However for as long as the human race exists we will never be perfect (until we become robots ourselves). As soon as everyone get’s it into their head that things will only be as good as you make them however never being perfect the better of people will be. The better off I’ll be, I’ll get to retain my hearing from the constant ranting and excuse production, whilst I got the car washed, teeth cleaned, good breakfast and ready to begin my day.

So it’s very easy to think of yourself and how imperfect you are then think no one else matters. Here’s what I do, turn the bloody drama show off and get on with it.

This is beside the point. The main reason why I’m so happy is because today with four mates recorded our first song in our band (one was a guest guitarist). The song is called away and the band name is Level. The recording  is all thanks to the music technology program at school and a certain teacher. We plan to send this into a competition to win prize money for the school. For the school, I know it sounds bad but I couldn’t care less. After almost a year of constantly following artists such as Linkin Park, looking at what they do and how they do it. It’s a dream come true. Just to walk through those sound proof doors into a nicely furnished room with mixers and people at the desk working for us. Playing back the tracks with smiles on our faces.

That’s all it is, a dream come true. Music is one of those things that takes a lot of hard work to get good at and even then it may get you no where in life as far as a career. With a logical business mind that Dad and I have in common, it always seems impossible and I can always see what he really thinks of music. So today was a dream come true because…I did it, despite the criticism, despite the struggle, I made it.

So for all those people out there that didn’t believe me…well, here I am… and I’m definitely not done yet.

That’s right, soap opera, the lowest common denominator of our society. It’s all the same rubbish. An enticing plot to gain attention, characters of which you like and dislike and the usual themes love, deception, betrayal and friendship. I mean, it has the same effect on men (or me at least) I fall asleep at the drivel they talk. I mean, his words of “his words are like beautiful banquets” henceforth turning to orthography. Just because it has a few extra syllabels it still translates to I love you, you hate me, blah, blah blah, blah…kill me.

Modern day shows such as Bold and the Beautiful, Home and Away and Neighbours are the kind of shows I’m talking about here. In no way is marrying a person for the 8th time a surprise. In no way is having kids with several ex’s interesting and in no way is another death or a new character going to add anything to the story line. I’m pretty sure the writer quit several years ago and someone thought it was a good idea to stretch out the current 2 page script over a period of 10 years. What were they thinking? Of course they’re killing of characters, the cast are actually dieing themselves they’ve been there for that long. IT’S OBSCENE!!!

So you want me to make my decision on how it’s relative to modern-day? Sure. No problem. It’s another money filled, attention grabbing and pathetic idea with  never-ending pointless content that has been defined as…”entertainment.” For the first time in my life it may actually be a better prospect to have my private area super-glued to my thighs and have all my teachers tie me down to a chair and supposedly teach me some life skills in a program called community sessions. Whilst eating vomit, listening to Justin Bieber…wearing a tu tu.

So, my problem is, how the hell am I supposed to get an A?
